Correspondence concerning land in Lincoln County, Kan., primarily letters received from A.B., Ida S., and R.L. Cross, lessees. The land, near Sylvan Grove, was owned by J.B. and Anna Cooley. There are also some letters sent by the attorney for the Cooley family, real estate brokers, and others. The letters discuss land matters, crops, prices, weather, oil, and taxes. Earlier letters mention the large number of German settlers in the area. Later letters report on farm conditions and are written at least quarterly.
